Welcome to the online ministry of Stanley and Jackie Weston

This site is to establish a more noticeable link between the Deaf and hearing. There is such a need for evangelism to reach the Deaf World. We have no idea!!

My name is Jackie and I am "hearing". My wonderful Husband, Stanley, is Deaf. We, together, have made a vow and answered a call from The Lord to help reach a lost and dying world, both deaf and hearing. The Lord is no respecter of persons and He loves us all the same, after all, He created us-right? Our "Great Commission" is to witness to all people...no matter...deaf, hearing, color or country...

We Love serving The Lord Jesus Christ, as our testimony says...We met at work and that lead us to where we are now...Our testimony and story of our family is here, also.

Interpreters are so badly needed in our churches...The last poll said that only 7 % of ALL DEAF even know the Name of Jesus, let alone know who or what he was/and still is...Our Lord and Savior, Almighty God...

Our hope is that through these pages, someone can hear the call to help and will find the tools needed to learn to sign and begin a deaf ministry in their own church.

Deaf Ministry is more than just signing the music and/or the sermons. It is a total commitment to learning the Deaf Culture, involving ourselves in the Deaf Community and making friends, and earning their trust. We need to be friends before we can witness and help lead them to the One that can save them...Jesus Christ.

There needs to be a call from The Lord to your heart, to minister to a lost world, to be able to give of your time and any abilities that you have been blessed with. We need to be willing to learn a new language, make new friends and learn from them as we teach each other new things.

I married my sign language teacher, and that helped a bunch! But realistically, most do not come by this knowledge quite so interestingly! So, we hope you can glean some information from our efforts, here.
